Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior OKTA Integration and Architecture Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the OKTA Identity platform across our enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with OKTA Identity Cloud, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Lifecycle Management, and API integrations, along with a deep understanding of identity governance and architecture best practices.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT with at least 3 years focused on OKTA Identity Platform.
  • Strong hands-on experience with OKTA SSO, MFA, Universal Directory, and Lifecycle Management.
  • Proficiency in integration protocols like SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SCIM, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with OKTA Workflows and custom connectors.
  • Solid understanding of identity federation, user provisioning, and directory integration (AD, LDAP).
  • Experience with security concepts related to identity (e.g., Zero Trust, least privilege, RBAC, ABAC).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, PowerShell) for automation and integration tasks.
  • OKTA certifications such as OKTA Certified Professional, Administrator, or Consultant are highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in integrating OKTA with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Background in compliance-driven environments (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, GDPR).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Knowledge of other IAM platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Ping Identity, ForgeRock) is a plus.


Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.


Job Responsibility

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of OKTA-based identity and access management (IAM) solutions across the enterprise.
  • Architect end-to-end OKTA integrations with cloud and on-premise applications, including SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and API-based methods.
  • Implement and manage user provisioning/deprovisioning workflows using OKTA Lifecycle Management.
  • Configure and maintain SSO and MFA policies for secure user authentication.
  • Work with application owners, security teams, and IT operations to onboard applications into the OKTA ecosystem.
  • Develop and enforce identity and access management best practices, security policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain OKTA health, audit logs, and integration stability.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for OKTA.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams on application security and identity-related features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to identity provisioning, authentication, and authorization.
